5.5 quake hits Northern California

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck northern California on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake was centered between Crescent City and Eureka and near the coast, according to the USGS.

The quake was at a depth of about 20 miles, according to the USGS.

Grammys watched by largest audience since 1984

The Grammy Awards managed to pull off a celebration of both the living and the dead during Sunday's show, and in return they had the highest rated ceremony in nearly three decades.

According to a statement from the Recording Academy, more than 39 million viewers tuned in to see how the show would treat the passing of Whitney Houston, how Adele would perform in her first performance since throat surgery, and, of course, who would win what in the big categories.

"At a certain point this season," NFL.com's Steve Wyche said Monday on "NFL Total Access," "with conversations I had there, they were really doing their due diligence on RG3 because of some of the things he can do to the offense."

Lessons learned from blind father propel Pierre-Paul to stardom

INDIANAPOLIS -- For the first time in his life, Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul will have his whole family on hand for a football game when he plays in his first Super Bowl on Sunday. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean his father will be able to see it.

Pierre-Paul's father has been blind since his son was eight months old.

"I don't know how it's going to be for him, but I know one thing for sure: He's going to be rooting me on," said Pierre-Paul, a first-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Pitt 'would like to' marry Jolie, won't say if he's proposed
